The real luxury of this particular set is the sixteen bearing collars (from 1/16-1") that give you the flexibility to slip on the appropriate collar to achieve whatever depth rabbet you need. This is a helpful improvement over the old method of switching out the bearing itself where you were limited by the availability of bearings with different outside diameters (a lot of research would be necessary to find the size and/or supplier).With this system a pair of the standard 1/2" bearings sandwich a solid anodized aluminum (I think) collar of differing depth--you only need to remove the top one (or bottom depending on the orientation of the router), slip off the "donut" and replace it with another one of differnt size, sandwich it with the top bearing, and screw it all together with the hex screw.
