Buying cheap Oshlun MTEC-40 40-Inch Stainless Steel Digital Caliper Not as advertised!By Pen NameI ordered this Oshlun 24" caliper, but I doubt I really received it. The caliper I received looks exactly like the one made by CMT Industrial (Shenzen, China), as shown on Amazon. The cardboard sleeve over the wooden box has an Oshlun sticker on it, and the instruction sheet included is apparently from Oshlun, but there are no other indications of mfr or origin. The name "Oshlun" is not on the caliper. No calibration sheet either. The caliper received (and the Amazon photo of the CMT caliper) has a black scale with white numbers. The Amazon photos of the Oshlun (and the Oshlun web site) show black mumbers on a light scale. The wooden box received also looks like the CMT box (fully foam lined), not the Oshlin box. Also, part of the marking on the received caliper's scale (maybe the real manufacturer's name?) has obviously been crudely blacked out with a permanent marker.
