This was the epitome of toughness and strength when it came out and it hasn't changed. However the world of power tools has. Milwaukee's development efforts have obviously been directed at its cordless tools. Except for the plastic instead of steel case, this drill is the same as when first introduced. It is one of Milwaukee's family of "D" handle drills. It comes with a right angle drive set up for 350 rpm; a good speed for driving big hole saws. If you want a faster speed, take the right angle drive off and turn it around. For an intermediate speed, take the right angle drive off and put the chuck directly on the drill motor. It would be nice to have a variable speed trigger. Some of the other "D" handle drills must have it because the operator's manual clearly says so. Apparently, the Plumber's Kit is an exception. You get 350 rpm ... »
