It runs very smooth and once you get the hang of it, it's easy to use. I managed to bring my collection of severely abused chisels back from the dead and my block planes are now razor sharp too. I'm only giving this 4 stars because I feel for this price they should include a couple more of the more popular jigs, and the water pan needs to have a wider lip to prevent some of the spilling. I imagine some of the high price is for the precision engineering and the premium water wheel that is included.
